He might not play for a perennial powerhouse, but Robinson certainly belongs in the conversation with the top linebackers. He had a big time offseason where he impressed at a prep redzone showcase. His footwork and technique is very solid and he will be counted on a ton this year. Robinson will be one of the most effective LB’s in all of Suffolk County.

Robinson sees the game well and diagnoses the game really well. When Robinson can read what is happening in the backfield be becomes like a heat seeking missile to the ball. Robinson is a really solid tackler and does a good job of wrapping guys up not always going for the big hit. Robinson is also really solid in coverage where his athleticism and feel for the game shines. Robinson could generate some buzz this offseason due to his athleticism but during the fall needs to put together more consistant tape especially when it comes to making plays that standout on a consistent level.

Robinson is big, strong, and a really physical player who showcases his physicality not only as a linebacker but also has some really solid tape as a lead blocker. Robinson has really good range for a linebacker and does a great job of making plays sideline to sideline. His ability to neutralize blockers and shed to make plays or impact plays is some of the best you will see in the state. Robinson continued his strong season with a really solid performance at the Prep Redzone NY/NJ showcase where he was selected the MVP of the linebacker group.

Robinson was raved about by the LB and RB coaches, who got an extensive look at him during drills. I liked the Robinson reps I saw; his ability to use his elite lateral movement to stick with smaller twitchier running backs was impressive. Robinson was the clear 1st team pick here, the way he stood out amongst the linebackers. Robinson is not only on our first team for New York recruits but was also the camp MVP at linebacker.
