The camp MVPs came from NY, NJ, VA, and MA, which shows the incredible reach that PrepRedzone has. Having recruits from all over the Northeast increases the competition at the showcase, and we saw so many excellent reps and performances throughout the event. It was impressive to see all the talent at the showcase and even more impressive when you realize that there are so many players that will play at the next level who are not a part of our 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or Honorable Mention teams just because of the talent we saw.
Throughout the showcase, I saw many reps from all the position groups. While I could not see every rep, I had in-depth conversations with other PrepRedzone scouts from other states and the position coaches running the drills to reach a strong consensus of who belongs on our camp all-star teams. If I could make ten teams, I would, but for this showcase, we will stick with a top three teams and one honorable mention team. Check out our first team below.
Quarterback
Running Back
Travis Carlucci Travis Carlucci 5’10” | 190 lbs | ATH Walter Panas | 2024 State NY did a fantastic job of separating himself from the other running backs at camp during his 1v1s. Carlucci tested well athletically, but he was a different player when facing matchups. Carlucci’s one-cut ability while maintaining top-end or close-to-it speed was impressive. Carlucci ran excellent routes and was rarely challenged in space. Carlucci was the best RB in space during camp.

Wide Reciever
Gavin Gatchalian Gavin Gatchalian 5’9″ | 170 lbs | WR Farmingdale | 2025 State NY was the fastest guy we saw at camp during drills. He had some of the best releases and routes during the 1v1 periods and created the most separation of any wide receiver. Gatchalian has incredible acceleration out of his cuts, and cornerbacks struggled to identify what direction Gatchalian would release because of Gatchalian’s consistency in his reps. Ultimately with wide receivers, we like to see big catches and big plays; Gatchalian did not get a chance to show this side of his game because of how easily he managed to get open. His separation was unprecedented, scoring him a spot on the 1st team.

Offensive Line
Matthew McGregor Matthew McGregor 6’3″ | 275 lbs | OL Choate | 2026 NewE was consistent as a blocker and did a fantastic job of being competitive with every rep. Several talented defensive linemen outnumbered the OL, meaning OL was getting nearly double the reps. By the end of 1v1s and drills, McGregor was one of the only blockers who did not seem to slow down. He was winning most of his reps, and he was competing through the whistle and always fighting for better positioning in the reps where he did not dominate. McGregor also had some of the best footwork we saw at camp and did an excellent job of utilizing his lower half to get into a great position.

Defensive Line
Tristan Hilman Tristan Hilman 6’3″ | 240 lbs | DL St. Francis Prep | 2024 State NY Tristan has a good combination of strength and power while maintaining solid quickness of the ball and urgency in his hands. I liked what Hilman did, and his reps stood out. Many of New York’s defensive linemen were competitive, so this was a tough call, but I really thought Hilman stood out amongst a really solid group.

Linebacker
Larawn Robinson Larawn Robinson 6’2″ | 205 lbs | LB Centereach | 2024 State NY was just a level above all the other linebackers athletically. Robinson was raved about by the LB and RB coaches, who got an extensive look at him during drills. I liked the Robinson reps I saw; his ability to use his elite lateral movement to stick with smaller twitchier running backs was impressive. Robinson was the clear 1st team pick here, the way he stood out amongst the linebackers. Robinson is not only on our first team for New York recruits but was also the camp MVP at linebacker.

Defensive Back
In a day where receivers and quarterbacks outnumbered the defensive backs, it wasn’t easy to stand out between how much rest receivers got and the variation of routes being run. Roseboro was easily the most consistent New York cornerback in coverage. Roseboro was sticky with receivers, and even on reps where he could not make a play on the ball he was in a fantastic position for a play after the catch. Roseboro’s size and athleticism made him tough for receivers to beat. Roseboro was also the MVP DB for the entire camp after a consistent strong performance.
