Gatchalian first jumped on my radar about two years back when he dominated a PrepRedzone camp, and since then, he has been an exceptional performer each time I have seen him. Gatchalian is a very talented route runner; he has excellent balance and a low center of gravity. Combine that with strong hands, which he consistently catches away from his body, and Gatchalian commits to Saint Anselm. They get a really talented WR whose position-specific skillset is more college-ready than a lot of WRs in New York.

Gatchalian one of the top WR prospects on Long Island picked up his first offer from Saint Anselm. Gatchalian is a prospect I have seen at a couple of camps and his camp performance always matches his impressive game tape.

Another fantastic router runner you’ll see in this game. Gatchalian had a big junior season for Framingdale registering over 400 yards and 7 touchdowns. Despite Farmingdale always pounding the rock, Gatchalian was a beast when the Dalers aired it out. He was always creating separation and had excellent hands during his breakout junior year.

Gavin Gatchalian showcased himself as one of the standout wide receivers at the Prep Redzone New Jersey, New York’s Stock-Up Showcase. His exceptional short-area quickness and ability to create separation were notable, making him a force during one-on-one reps. To further elevate his game, Gavin can focus on improving his yards after catch and enhancing lower body mobility during the offseason. These improvements could enhance his overall performance.

Gatchalian might want to go to the local courthouse in Farmingdale and petition to change his last name to “Catchalian” because that is all this receiver was doing at the showcase. He might have been the most precise route runner at the event, allowing him to win matchups immediately at the line of scrimmage. His speed seemed to open up more the longer the route was, creating even more separation from pesky defenders. Lastly, Gatchalian had a keen sense of field awareness, hauling in multiple sideline catches without stepping out of bounds before securing possession.

It was another event where the Farmingdale product was the top route runner out of an impressive receiver group. From a technical standpoint, Gatchalian was super impressive. He created the most separation out of any receiver in this pod and he made relatively easy catches. He was one of the only player to have any type of success against Josira Andrews Josira Andrews 5'10" | DB Erasmus Hall | 2024 State NY . And despite being only 5’9, he looked good in the redzone and made some impressive contested catches against physical defenders.

Gatchalian has great speed and runs very crsips smooth routes. With the ball in his hands Gatchalian can make guys miss with quick cuts and his ability to stop and start maintaining momentum and reaccelerating quickly Mostly used has a gadget player on offense last season Gatchalian is in line for a very big season.

was the fastest guy we saw at camp during drills. He had some of the best releases and routes during the 1v1 periods and created the most separation of any wide receiver. Gatchalian has incredible acceleration out of his cuts, and cornerbacks struggled to identify what direction Gatchalian would release because of Gatchalian’s consistency in his reps. Ultimately with wide receivers, we like to see big catches and big plays; Gatchalian did not get a chance to show this side of his game because of how easily he managed to get open. His separation was unprecedented, scoring him a spot on the 1st team.
