Andrews makes plays in space and has the vision and acceleration to be able to take it to the house at any given moment. He also had a pick six against Madison earlier in the season, and that was a game he pretty much took over along with the rest of his defense. He’s also proven to be one of the top tacklers at the DB position in NYC, he’ll have to have a big game on a short week against a Lincoln team that has plenty of offensive talent.

Out of all those amazing Dutchemn defensive backs he was ultimately the standout guy as he locked down every single receiver he went against. There were no linebackers in this pod so Andrews got a crazy amount of reps and he continued winning them thanks to the combination of physicality, IQ and technique. He was the most polished player in the pod and the intensity he brought was incredible

Erasmus Hall has a ton of guys to replace this year in the defensive backfield but with Andrews at the safety spot Erasmus Halls most reliable cover man will be the last guy back. Andrews has some really good abilities in coverage where he reads the quarterback well and closes quickly on the ball. A really talented player who with the spotlight on him this season could jump up these rankings with a strong season.

The safety prospect is listed at 5’10 but just like his DB teammates last year size should stop him from getting some division I interest. Andrews plays with great instincts and shows really good aggressiveness as a safety both in the run game and against the pass. I saw Andrews play twice last season and both times he made impressive plays for Erasmus Hall. Andrews is one of the better ball hawks in this class and his willingness to make an impact in the run game make him overall one of the best safeties in New York.
