April has come to an end, so you know what time it is! Time to check out some of the biggest lifts, greatest displays of conditioning, and a ton of athletes getting better day by day! These get me so hyped. Probably because they are numbers that I have never even thought about putting up in my lifetime, yet here are a bunch of teens doing it with ease. We are going to be smacking each other this fall if everyone has been putting in work like this. Let's get it started!
Matthew Motl, '24 RB- Marshall
Lift: 235 lbs X 1 Power Clean, 475 lbs X 3 Squat, 315 lbs X 1 Bench Press
Matthew gave us a look at a vast array of his impressive lifts throughout the month. The young RB has developed explosiveness with an impressive power clean, will have the leg drive to move the pile with that massive 3 rep squat, and that 315 lbs bench is a huge threshold to break into. Motl is going to be an athlete I watch closely to see how he has developed on the field this fall. Strong, intriguing prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id="270650" first="Brady" last="Link"], '24 ATH- Columbus
Lift: 405 lbs X 6 Squat
I think we are going to see a breakout from Brady. He has been one of the most consistnet grinders month to month this offseason. He was an intriguing, raw prospect last fall. I think we see a refined, strong player. He is going to be tough to stop with leg drive that will ome form this massive squat.

Antonio Acevedo, '23 OL/LB- Greendale
Lift: 400 lbs X 2 Squat, 280 lbs X 1 Bench Press
Antonio is a newer name on my radar. At only 192 lbs he is moving serious poundage with both his upper half and lower half. Greendale is going to be looking for guys to step up this season after graduating a lot of talent. I'm excited to see where he steps in and his impact.

Noah Radomski, '24 Brookfield East
Lift: 420 lbs X 1 Trapbar Deadlift
Another newer name for me is Noah. I loved watching this rep. It took everything. All his strength, conditioning, and determination to fight this lift all the way up. He did it though. That is why I love the gym. You don't just grow physically. It is a place where you build that determination, and dedication.

Nick Malueg, '23 RB- Marion
LIft: 235 lbs X 3 Front Squat Lunges W/ Chains
This is a crazy lift. The strength, and balance are off the charts. He even threw on the chains to make sure to keep the resistance high throughout the lift. Nick has been another consistent member of this article series, and it has me pumped to see the work pay off as he totes the rock this fall. Leg drive and balance will not be an issue.

[player_tooltip player_id="202696" first="Carter" last="Christy"], '24 LB- Wisconsin Rapids
Lift: 225 lbs X 2 Power Clean, 225 lbs X 16 Bench Press, 465 lbs X 1 Squat
Power, conditioning, explosiveness, and dedication are all evident in this series of lifts. Carter is one of the strongest athletes pound for pound. He also is one of the more conditioned athletes demonstrated by his 16 reps of 225 lbs. There are athletes getting drafted today who can't do that. Love to see the hard work going down in Rapids.

[player_tooltip player_id="262061" first="Carson" last="Fletcher"], '25 ATH- Racine Horlick
Lift: 280 lbs X 1 Bench Press, 295 lbs X 1 Bench Press
The freshman is building a great base of strength for himself to build on throughout the rest of his high school career. He has already been building on that base too. You can see this past month he added 15 lbs to his bench press max. I can't wait to see him on the field again. He was a force as a freshman.

[player_tooltip player_id="300310" first="Jack" last="Hamus"], '23 QB- Appleton North
Lift: 255 lbs X 1 Power Clean
It looks like the former Appleton West QB is headed to Appleton North this fall. He is going to come with some extra explosiveness and burst after building his way up to a 255 lbs max power clean. Hamus is going to be a dual threat option for North. Excited to see him take over at the helm.

[player_tooltip player_id="245918" first="Mason" last="McNeill"], '23 OL- Westosha Central
Lift: 425 lbs Squat Clusters, 500 lbs X 2 Clusters
This is outrageous. If Mason was just doing these numbers for one set it would be impressive. Instead, Mason is three reps, taking super short rests, and doing three more reps. That strength and conditioning is going to make him a an mover from the first snap to the last. The Prep Redzone Showcase standout is going to be one to watch this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id="226935" first="Liam" last="Droessler"], '23 OL- Milton
Lift: 425 lbs X 1 Squat
Time for our monthly check in with Liam. He has been grinding this offseason, and it continued in April. Droessler is going to be able to dig big men out of the trenches with the full body power it takes to squat 425 lbs. Pumped for him. The hard work is going to pay off.

[player_tooltip player_id="270688" first="Teagan" last="Fox"], '24 LB- Franklin
Lift: 225 lbs X 1 Power Clean, 335 lbs X 1 Squat
Teagan is going to have to step up this fall for Franklin, and he looks like he is readying himself to do so. He is working on his explosiveness and leg drive. Both of which are going to make him a reliable, game changing LB for the Franklin defense.

Paddy Keelty, '23 OL- Fort Atkinison
Lift: 550 lbs X 1 Squat, 605 lbs X 1 Squat School Record
Paddy went crazy in the squat rack this month! He started at 550 lbs and eventually worked his way up to a school record of 605 lbs! I can't wait to see how that translates to the field because it looked so easy for him to move those gigantic numbers.

[player_tooltip player_id="267046" first="Sam" last="Pilof"], '24 LB- Middleton
Lift: 535 lbs X 1 Trapbar Deadlift
LB1 went heavy this month! As if 535 lbs wasn't enough, they added a resistance band to the pull as well. That wasn't an issue as Pilof was able to make the fight look easy for this lift. He is going to make a huge jump this season despite having a great sophomore season. I expect him to be bigger, and clearly stronger. It will be tough to get a blocker on him this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id="104482" first="Dawson" last="Rud"], '23 RB- Mondovi
Lift: 275 lbs X 1 Power Clean
This is crazy! 275 lbs is an impressive bench. Rud did it for power clean. The compact, strong runner is going to have more explosiveness, quick twitch, and agility to add to his game with lifts like this. Mondovi weight room has been going off this offseason. Big yer could e in store for them.

Cayden Bradenburg, '24 RB/WR- Janesville Parker
Lift: 405 lbs X 1 Squat
The playmaker out of Janesville carved himself out a nice role last fall, but with the strength shown in this lift I expect him to be even more of a problem and having an even bigger role this fall. Janesville Parker is on the come up, and Cayden is crafting himself into someone who will be a big part of it.

[player_tooltip player_id="104377" first="Mason" last="Desrude"], '23 DL- Nicolet
Lift: 300 lbs X 1 Bench Press
I believe this is Mason's first time in the series, but he clearly has been working! He joins the 300 lbs club on the bench press. The edge rusher is going to have quite the upper body strength for his bull rush this fall. Keep an eye on him. Big year coming.

[player_tooltip player_id="268947" first="Colton" last="Brunell"], '23 RB/ATH- Columbus
Lift: 225 lbs X 15 Bench Press
This is special conditioning and strength shown by the stud playmaker from Columbus. He already was so powerful as a runner. Now he has been working on making sure that power will be available from kickoff to the final whistle. Colton is a special athlete, and he is making himself even better this offseason. Good luck stopping this guy.

[player_tooltip player_id="104982" first="Jacques" last="Brooks"], '24 WR- Franklin
Lift: 255 lbs X 1 Bench Press
One of the top 2024 WRs has been working this offseason. He has built his way up to 155 lbs on the bench press. That is a bench press that is roughly 75 lbs heavier than his body weight. He already was a sharp route runner, and has reliable hands. Now he is adding some strength for blocking and after the catch work.
