OK Prospect Tour – Players To Watch

Enjoy!</strong></em> On Saturday at Titan Sports Complex in Jenks, the 3rd Prep Redzone Oklahoma Showcase will take place as the Prep Redzone "Prospect Tour" rolls through Oklahoma. Several colleges will be on hand scouting some of the best talent in Oklahoma and even some of the surrounding states. We’ll have plenty of coverage of the event during the camp and following the camp but before things get kicked off, we want to take a look at some of the names that you need to know about coming into Saturday. These five prospects are some of the best in the state and will be competing with us on Saturday. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="154212" first="Ace" last="Hodges"] - 2024 Offensive Lineman - Oklahoma Christian School</strong> Since his freshman season, OCS offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id="154212" first="Ace" last="Hodges"] has been on our radar. He’s been one of the top interior offensive lineman prospects in the state’s 2024 class and he’ll be competing in a stacked position group. Hodges has really excelled in camp settings over the last year and there’s no reason to think he won’t do the same thing this weekend. Hodges has the size and skill of a prototypical interior offensive lineman. Whether that’s at center or one of the guard positions. Since we started ranking the 2024 class, Hodges has been a top ten prospect and the top overall offensive lineman prospect. He should put on a show during the 1 on 1 portion. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="209872" first="David" last="McComb"] - 2025 Quarterback - Edmond Memorial</strong> Our second showcase camp was back in January and on a cold and windy day in Broken Arrow, Edmond Memorial freshman [player_tooltip player_id="209872" first="David" last="McComb"] earned MVP honors for his work at quarterback. Despite throwing into and with 20+ MPH winds, McComb was outstanding throughout the event. Earlier this week, McComb earned his first offer from Memphis and has the chance to be one of the highest rated quarterbacks to come out of Oklahoma in recent memory. Our quarterback group this weekend has some special talent in it so the competition is going to be stiff. This is one position group that’s going to be a highlight to watch and it’s because of talents like McComb. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="47955" first="Jaiden" last="Carroll"] - 2023 Running Back - Jenks</strong> Another prospect who’s already received several D1 offers is Jenks 2023 running back [player_tooltip player_id="47955" first="Jaiden" last="Carroll"]. The standout running back helped lead Jenks to their second straight state title after transferring from Booker T Washington. Carroll is a great blend of speed, quickness and strength. He’s definitely at his best when he has the pads on so it’ll be interesting to see how his skills translate in a camp setting. We expect him to test very well and then be one of the top running backs during the individual drills and going into 1 on 1’s. In an absolutely loaded 2023 class at the running back position, Carroll has been one of the most consistent and dominating backs in the state. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="38811" first="Kenny" last="Wermy"] - 2023 Offensive Lineman - Cache</strong> Another former Prep Redzone Oklahoma Showcase MVP is back to defend his title on Saturday! Cache 2023 offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id="38811" first="Kenny" last="Wermy"] was our OL MVP from the camp in January and he’s back looking to dominate once again. Wermy is already considered one of the top offensive lineman prospects in the state’s 2023 class and he’s certainly excelled when he’s come to our camps. We have no reason to think that he won’t dominate once again in a camp setting and especially during 1 on 1’s. He’ll be familiar with the coaching he’s getting as he’s been training this offseason with JR Conrad and the Trench Mafia group and they are coaching up the offensive line prospects this weekend once again. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="38790" first="Kirk" last="Francis"] - 2023 Quarterback - Metro Christian </strong> We mentioned the quarterback group having some special talent and here’s another example of that as Metro Christian 2023 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="38790" first="Kirk" last="Francis"] will be slinging the ball around on Saturday. We’ve been open that we’re fans of Francis since he got on our radar as a freshman while playing JV ball. I’ve also been on the record that I think Francis might have the best arm talent of any quarterback in the state’s 2023 class. The only thing limiting his recruitment is his height in my opinion. Talent wise, he’s one of the best in the state and should be recruited that way. He’ll certainly be in the mix to be the top performing quarterback during the event on Saturday afternoon.
