Some of the best players in the area were at the event and it was difficult to get a good look at every player. Here are the quarterbacks who stood out to me.
Julian Sayin Julian Sayin 6'1" | 195 lbs | QB Carlsbad | 2024 State CA , Carlsbad – Sayin became one of the first players in the 2024 class awarded a five star rating by 247Sports and Rivals after this event. He has a nice and high release and while he doesn’t have the biggest arm in the world, he has plenty of arm to make the deep throws with touch. He is extremely accurate to all three levels of the field and he was hitting guys in stride on deep balls.

Malachi Nelson Malachi Nelson 6'3" | 195 lbs | QB Los Alamitos | 2023 State CA , Los Alamitos – Nelson was drawing most of the attention from the scouts at the event, especially with all the USC reporters in attendance. He is every bit as good as advertised. He carries himself with so much confidence, makes challenging throws look easy and throws one of the tightest spirals I’ve seen.
Los Alamitos quarterback and USC commit Malachi Nelson was the MVP of the quarterbacks at the UA Next Skills Camp. His throws look effortless. @PrepRedzoneCA @ocvarsity @Malachi @USCFootballNews @LosAlFootball pic.twitter.com/ZG8ZCn9W5F

Damon Wrighster Damon Wrighster 6'3" | 170 lbs | QB Inglewood | 2024 State CA , Sierra Canyon – Sunday was my first time seeing Wrighster in person and I was very impressed. He showed good timing with the receivers and has a stronger arm than I anticipated. There were two groups of quarterbacks and he was the best one in the first group that I saw. Arizona has offered him and he will get some more after putting together a good junior season of film at Sierra Canyon.
Anthony Wolter Anthony Wolter 6'1" | 190 lbs | QB Saint Bonaventure | 2024 State CA , Saint Bonaventure – Wolter had a big day last summer in the passing tournament at Mission Viejo when he played for Alemany and he looked good again this year. His delivery is very smooth and he puts his whole body into his throws. His accuracy was great on the intermediate routes and he has some zip on his throws.

Izzy Carter Izzy Carter 6'1" | 180 lbs | QB Centennial - Corona | 2023 State CA , Centennial – Carter was awarded one of the quarterback MVPs of the day. He is a great athlete who can throw well from multiple angles. He was very accurate on the short throws and demonstrated his arm strength on the deep ones. He has eight offers including BYU, Oregon and Washington State among others.
Good day todayy blessed too be named MVP at todays UA CAMP!!! @GregBiggins @Cen10Football @QBCatalano @RWrightRivals @UCLAFBRecruit @TheGundy @KennyDillingham @LukeSchleusner @Coach_Sutt @Coach_Casula @ArmedDangerQBS pic.twitter.com/5NYV5xA8yp

Kadin Semonza Kadin Semonza 6'0" | 190 lbs | QB Mission Viejo | 2023 State CA , Mission Viejo – Semonza had home field advantage at Mission Viejo and looked very good, especially when throwing to his Diablo teammates. Semonza and Mikey Matthews Mikey Matthews 5'10" | 180 lbs | WR Mission Viejo | 2023 State CA were an unstoppable duo and they connected on every ball during the one-on-one reps. He has a quick release, showed he can extend plays with his legs last season and can put some zip on the ball. He made some questionable decisions with the ball last season, but he is improving and has the tools to be a Power 5 college quarterback.
What a throw, but I love the attention to detail with the play action. You are a certified DUDE @kadinsemonza.

Wyatt Becker Wyatt Becker 6'2" | 180 lbs | QB Sierra Canyon | 2025 State CA , Notre Dame/Sherman Oaks – I thought Becker was the third best quarterback of the day behind Nelson and Sayin. The ball jumps out of his hand and he has textbook form. He is so polished for his age and will only improve his arm strength and with experience. Ole Miss offered him a couple of days after the camp.
