The 2021 season has been great so far across every division in the state of Ohio. There are several great games this week in Division 2 in the state of Ohio. Many of whom feature several players in the Prep Redzone rankings. Here are five of those games to watch this week.
Avon Lake vs Avon
This week, the Avon Lake Shoremen will play the Avon Eagles. Avon Lake is coming into the game undefeated at 3-0 and are coming off a 31-14 victory over Columbian. This season, they have averaged 32 points per game and have given up 12.67 points per game. Avon is currently 2-1 and are coming off an impressive 55-18 victory over Glenville last week. This season, they have averaged 36.67 points per game while giving up 17.33 points per game. Some very talented players to keep an eye on are WR Matthew Steuwe and QB Jeremy Dzik from Avon Lake and QB Sam DeTillio and WR Tim Conwell from Avon.
Anderson vs Kings
On Friday night, the Anderson Raptors will play the Kings Knights. Anderson is coming into the game at 2-1 and defeated 43-42 in overtime in what was a very exciting game. This season, the Raptors have averaged 39 points per game while giving up 40.67 points per game. The Knights are currently undefeated at 3-0 and are coming off a 14-13 victory over Winton Woods in another exciting game. This season, they have averaged 26.33 points per game and have given up just 10.33 points per game. There are several talented players that are playing in this game and a couple of those players to keep an eye on are LB [player_tooltip player_id="34418" first="Casey" last="O’Toole"] from Anderson and QB Will Kocher from Kings.
Hudson vs Twinsburg
In week 4, the Hudson Explorers will play the Twinsburg Tigers. Hudson is currently undefeated at 3-0 and last were victorious over Harding 17-10. In 2021, they have averaged 35.33 points per game and have given up 26.33 points per game. The Tigers enter this game at 1-2 and look to rebound from their 30-0 loss last week to Aurora. This season, the Tigers have averaged 11.33 points per game and have given up 32 points per game. Some talented players to keep an eye on during this game are ATH [player_tooltip player_id="187908" first="Aiden" last="Lal"] from Hudson and WR Steve Cammack from Twinsburg.
Massilon Washington vs Harding
On Friday night, the Massilon Washington Tigers will play the Harding Raiders. Washington is currently 2-1 and are coming off a 41-22 victory over Reynoldsburg. In 2021, Washington has averaged 27.33 points on offense while giving up 16 points on defense. Harding is currently 1-2 and last week lost 17-10 against Hudson. Based on how they have played in 2021, they match up pretty evenly with Washington as they have averaged 26.33 points on offense and have given up 16 points on defense. Westerville South vs Dublin Scioto
This week, the Westerville South Wildcats will play the Dublin Scioto Irish. The Irish are currently 2-1 and are looking to rebound from their 17-7 defeat against Olentangy Berlin. In 2021, they have scored as many points as they have given up which is 23.67 points per game on both offense and defense. The Wildcats are 1-1 and like the Irish, are looking to rebound after a loss to last week against Hilliard Darby 34-31. On offense, the Wildcats have averaged 30 points per game on offense and have given up 25.5 points per game on defense.
