The last time we spoke of Picciotti, we had him slated as the 22nd best player in his class as well as the 4th ranked linebacker in said class. Picciotti is still ranked as the 4th best 2023 linebacker but has since seen a six-spot increase, as we now consider him a top 16 player in his class overall. Recruitment has absolutely heated up for Phil, so much so that he has garnered six P5 D1 offers since May! A rank up for each offer you can say! The boost would have happened either way. This kid is without a doubt a difference-maker when on the field. We are excited for him!
Braylan Lovelace | 6’1, 190 | LB | Leechburg | 30 spot increase
No prospect on this list had a more drastic increase than Braylan Lovelace, who raised for reasons opposite of Picciotti. A whopping 30 spot jump was in order for the Leechburg product who raised primarily because of a low initial ranking back in February. As well as further film study as more and more tape began to release on the 6’1 linebacker. Recruitment has been slow for Lovelace. So long as he continues to trend in the right direction, offers will come.
Jerome Mullins Jerome Mullins 6'1" | 165 lbs | DB Rochester | 2023 State PA Jr. | 6’0, 165 | DB | Rochester | 5 spot increase
Mullins was already regarded as a top defensive back in the state by Prep Redzone. We still decided he should receive a boost, due largely in part to his stellar spring 7v7/camp season. 7v7 events are not the end-all-be-all by any sense, however, the extra exposure and athleticism put on display at these events can sometimes clarify things that may not be clear from film study. That was the case with Mullins Jr., who saw a modest 5 spot increase in his ranking. He now stands as the 36th best prospect in his class, as well as the 6th best defensive back.
Nodin Tracy Nodin Tracy 5'11" | 185 lbs | ATH West Allegheny | 2023 State PA | 5’11, 175 | DB | West Allegheny | 2 spot positional increase
Shawn Battle Shawn Battle 5'11" | 175 lbs | DB Neumann-Goretti | 2023 State PA | 5’11, 175 | DB | Neumann-Goretti | 1 spot positional increase
Both Shawn Battle Shawn Battle 5'11" | 175 lbs | DB Neumann-Goretti | 2023 State PA and Nodin Tracy Nodin Tracy 5'11" | 185 lbs | ATH West Allegheny | 2023 State PA saw modest increases overall but both increased their positional ranking by at least one spot, with Tracy jumping two. Battle, the highly-touted DB out of Neumann-Goretti, solidified his status as the best ’23 defensive back in PA not named Rahmir Stewart Rahmir Stewart 6'0" | 205 lbs | DB Imhotep Charter | 2023 State PA . Nodin Tracy Nodin Tracy 5'11" | 185 lbs | ATH West Allegheny | 2023 State PA , who still is a top 50 prospect in his class, saw a jump from the 10th best defensive back, to the 8th.
