offers. A three-time MIAA Champion and Baltimore Touchdown Club Super 22 Team selection, Philpott has built a résumé that speaks for itself. Most recently named First Team All-MIAA, he’s established himself as one of the most consistent and physically imposing trench players in the region.
Now at 6-foot-1 and 290 pounds, Philpott blends strength with surprising agility. Whether he’s bull-rushing linemen into the backfield or using quick, decisive moves to blow past blockers, he consistently disrupts plays at the line of scrimmage. When anchoring down against the run, he shows excellent balance and leverage, able to lock out, control the point of attack, and shed blockers with ease once he diagnoses the play.
Philpott recently added offers from New Haven and Holy Cross, bringing his total to eight. With his combination of championship experience, strength, and technical refinement, he’s the kind of high-motor lineman that college programs covet.

Pugh Turning Heads with Disruptive Play, Lands Offer from Holy Cross
Pugh wrapped up a dominant season with 6 sacks, over 8 tackles for loss, and a forced fumble, solidifying his reputation as one of the most disruptive interior defenders in his region.
A first-team All-County defensive tackle, Pugh combines agility and power to consistently win at the line of scrimmage. His one-on-one hand combat is advanced for a high school lineman, showcasing a refined arsenal of pass rush moves, including swim variations and a powerful stiff arm that keeps blockers at bay.
What sets Pugh apart is his motor. He’s relentless in pursuit, often making plays on the perimeter by chasing down ball carriers with surprising range for a defensive tackle.
Pugh recently added an offer from Holy Cross to his growing list, bringing his total to six. With his blend of technique, physicality, and effort, expect more programs to take notice as recruiting heats up.

Zack is primed to stand out this season as part of Spalding’s dominate defensive group. An interior DT who can also play as a 5 Tech as Spalding generally plays in a 3man front on defense. He is strong and physical, able to collapse the pocket back and man handle offensive lineman. This comes from his ability to get great leverage off the snap. He has a strong wide base, with pop & power through the hips. This allows him to get under the lineman’s hands and into his chest driving him back and then shedding them off him to make the tackle on the ball carrier. Zack has also shown the ability to take on double teams, stack & shed, and effectively stunt from outside-in. Playing with a high motor and high effort, Zack doesn’t give up on the play and moves well. He has good explosiveness to the ball, chasing down ball carriers and pursuing the QB consistently. A player who demonstrates high football IQ as well, Zack is excellent at anticipating the QBs throws and getting his hands up to knockdown passes routinely. That shows his ability to impact the play even if he can’t get off his block.
I am high on Zack’s potential and see a productive year for him this fall. Come next spring I see a lot of FBS/FCS/D2 schools taking a strong look at him as a prospect.

Philpott played part in the dominant Spalding defense last season, making his presence felt at defensive tackle. He shows impressive strength as he holds his ground in the trenches and pursues the ball with a bit more speed than you expect from a nose guard. The youngster shows some glimpses of what to expect in the future already playing among varsity competition.
