Johnson is another weapon in that defensive backfield, he already has great size, and breaks on the ball quick. He plays the jump ball well and is physical off the line in the redzone. On his recruiting trail he is already ahead of the game, he has a total of 13 including schools such as Maryland, Penn State, and NC State. With another year of growth and championship caliber defense expect to hear Johnson’s name a lot over the next two seasons.

Johnson has good size for his cornerback position, tall enough to match up against taller receivers, plays with fluidity and trusts his eyes, while also being a support in the run game. He has some versatility, playing some safety for Spalding and making plays in the box from center field.
