We’re sticking with big-school MN football and heading back to the always-important QB position. Wayzata’s 6′, 150 lb. signal-caller William Landreth is also a standout baseball player and is in the midst of his of his first year of high school football with the mighty Trojans. Playing against freshman competition, Landreth showed that he can push the ball downfield with accuracy and put zip on his more intermediate throws when necessary. He can run the read option, finds his open receiver (generally the first read), and puts the ball on the money. He’s shown he can play the QB position with mobility, and has solid mechanics and a concise throwing motion. Still a lot of development and reps needed to maximize his game but I like the arm strength and velocity he’s showing off as a young buck.
