The Catholic Memorial defense had plenty of young talent making an impact this past fall. One of the underclassmen leading the way was freshman LB Will Schmitzer Will Schmitzer 6'2" | 210 lbs | LB Catholic Memorial | 2028 State WI . The 6’2″ 200 lbs LB was all over the field making plays and finishing the year with 58 tackles, 4 TFLs, and 2 sacks. The OLB already is looking like he will turn into a three down LB at the next level. He has the physicality and strength to take on blocks, set the edge, and make tackles vs the outside run game. Will also looks fluid dropping into coverage and changing direction to get into throwing windows. He has the speed to get around the edge and also run with receiving threats in the open field.
