There is no question who our D2-Class A player of the year is for the 2023 season. Wolcott was an absolute stud last year from start to finish where he ended up rushing for 3,027 yards while producing a staggering number of 54 rushing touchdowns on the season. We had to give Wolcott his due, especially after being snubbed for Mr. Football, which he was the clear cut winner in our book. The Commanders stud running back was also a beast on defense where he put up 77 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, 1 Int & 2 sacks on the year. Wolcott had an outstanding high school career that was capped by his best season yet.

Wolcott impresses me with his explosive speed and physicality, proving he can shake tackles, break free into the backfield and take it all the way to the house. I also like how Wolcott can utilize the edge to shake pressure and blast into the redzone.
