was a player I knew some people were excited about, but I was not able to see him perform until the DGA Flight Squad 7v7 tryout event, and he impressed with his flashes of potential.
He has solid size for a slot receiver at his age and has the acceleration and deceleration skills to be a highly effective player from the inside.
He is still rounding out his game but the baseline tools are certainly there to be a very strong slot option for the future.
The next step for him will be to put those flashes into a consistent level of playmaking on the field and with Lipscomb Academy graduating their top receiving targets, he should have an increased opportunity to showcase his potential.

I know there are only supposed to be five prospects listed here, but narrowing it down was nearly impossible. Lipscomb Academy adds yet another dangerous weapon on offense in Pointer Jr., who is coming off a spectacular eighth-grade season for Wilson County. The slippery RB/WR was named the Cumberland Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Year, scoring 29 touchdowns last season.

We wrote about Pointer Jr. back in October, but since then additional accolades have rolled in for the talented 2029 prospect. Following his eighth-grade season, he was named the CVC Conference Player of the Year with over 1,000 yards of total offense and a conference-best 29 total touchdowns. Combining his hands, hips and agility, he has really blossomed into more of a Running Back/Athlete, who may also have a future in the slot.

Mr. Pointer is fun to watch. He never gives up on plays and if you look away too soon, the crowd will let you know that you missed it. His strengths outweigh his weaknesses ten fold. This youngster got a lot of potential and continues to make big plays. Great hips, and footwork are on display when he carries the ball. He has phenomenal body control and agility in and out of traffic.
