Continue ReadingAfter breaking down some impactful senior standouts in both Davidson County and Williamson County, it’s time to continue to evaluate some of the top prospects in the state of Tennessee that made their presence known in their final season of high school football. To resume the series, here’s my list of some top tier 2024s in Wilson County that established themselves on the field last year.
rnAt the top of my list of notable performers is JuJu Davis JuJu Davis 6’3″ | 175 lbs | WR Wilson Central | 2024 State TN , a wide receiver at Wilson Central High School. What I like about Davis is his electric speed off the snap as well as his physicality in coverage, showcasing his ability to push off the defense in the backfield to quickly get in position for the deep pass. I also like how Davis utilizes his footwork to create seperation and quickly reach challenging passes from along the edge. Another facet of Davis that made the difference last season was his ability to attack the ball in the air, consistently putting his team in solid field position.

rnI am additionally impressed with Tyson Wolcott Tyson Wolcott 5’7″ | 165 lbs | RB Friendship Christian | 2024 TN , a running back at Friendship Christian High School. Wolcott impresses me with his explosive speed and physicality, proving he can shake tackles, break free into the backfield and take it all the way to the house. I also like how Wolcott can utilize the edge to shake pressure and blast into the redzone. Another aspect of Wolcott’s playstyle that stands out is his ability to pick up speed off the snap and slip past the pocket, showcasing his ability to outrun the entire defense and put touchdowns on the scoreboard.

rnClaiming the number three spot on my list is Jack Clinard Jack Clinard 6’1″ | 225 lbs | DL Lebanon | 2024 TN , a defensive lineman at Lebanon High School. What stands out most about Clinard is his quick execution and ability to read the offense like a book, proving he can instantly pounce on playmakers both in the pocket and from along the edge. Another aspect of Clinard that made a considerable difference this past season was his ability to constantly capitalize on openings in the offensive line to apply pressure on and sack the quarterback.

rnAnother skilled prospect is Ty Ferguson Ty Ferguson 6’4″ | 240 lbs | DL Watertown | 2024 TN , a defensive lineman at Watertown High School. What I like about Ferguson’s playstyle is his ability to lock in at the line of scrimmage, using his size and strength to pushoff the offensive line and quickly blast the quarterback to the ground. I’m additionally impressed with Ferguson due to his commanding stopping power, proving he can force the occasional fumble. Ferguson also makes his presence known in the pocket, showcasing his ability to stop the rush and keep the opposition out of the backfield.

rnComing in at number five on my list is Ethan Kimes Ethan Kimes 6’1″ | 210 lbs | LB Wilson Cent. | 2024 TN , a linebacker at Wilson Central High School. What stands out about Kimes is his ability to consistently adapt to the ground game, showing off his electric speed and ability to catch the rush from along the edge. I also like how Kimes can dodge and weave the offensive line, slipping through openings to make crucial stops. Kimes also proved he can stun the offense with his ability to apply pressure, sack the quarterback and force the ball out.

rnAlso worth mentioning is William Czerniak William Czerniak 5’11” | 205 lbs | LB Mt.Juliet | 2024 TN , a linebacker at Mt. Juliet High School. Czerniak impresses me with his quick decision-making and ability to read the passing game, proving he can haul in interceptions and shake tackles as he blasts into enemy territory. Another aspect of Czerniak that stands out is his ability to apply heavy defensive pressure, utilizing his size, speed and strength to withstand pressure in the pocket, create disorganization and slip past the offense to sack the quarterback.

rnAnother impactful senior is Dallas Jackson Dallas Jackson 5’9″ | 160 lbs | DB Green Hill | 2026 TN , an athlete at Green Hill High School. Jackson stands out due to his versatile edge and explosive speed off the snap, proving he can create seperation down the stretch and attack the ball in the endzone. I also like how Jackson can shake tackles, outrun the entire defense from along the edge and blast into the endzone. On the other side of the ball, Jackson made a big splash with his ability to read the pass. I also liked how Jackson could quickly contest receivers in the backfield, barrel in front of the ball for the pick and make the quick tackle.

rnI am also impressed with Kail Burroughs, a defensive lineman at Green Hill High School. Burroughs contributed excellent size and speed at the line of scrimmage last season, utilizing his ability to bully the offensive line, catch the rush and get to the quarterback before he can get the ball out of his hands. Another aspect of Burroughs that stands out is his ability to use his size and strength to overwhelm the offensive line and create chaos in the pocket. Burroughs also made a difference with his ability to blast the gunslinger to the ground and force the ball out.
