Tyler is a dominant LB recruit with FBS level traits. The senior ILB plays so fast and violent. He truly checks every box of an LB. Instinctually, Tyler plays like he was in the offensive huddle pre snap. He knows where the ball is going and as soon as he reads he reacts. Tyler plays the run like he is shot out of a cannon. You will see him fly through gaps and flex his power to run through OL on his way to the ball. His range is elite, easily meeting RBs out on the edge. That athleticism allows him to also blitz from depth or drop into coverage. The senior is one of the best at his position. It is great to see he has an offer from Michigan State, but equally shocking he has no other offers reported. Get on this kid.

Stats: 11 Tackles
It is no secret that we are a huge fan of Tyler here at Prep Redzone. In his final high school game he left no doubt that he is one of the best at his position in the entire state. Tyler was everywhere. His instincts are D1 quality, reading and instantly attacking downhill against the run. He is explosive and can fly through gaps before an OL can even get a hand on him. His athleticism gives him easy range out to the sideline and he can drop into coverage and comfortably slide around a zone. Tyler made so many key stops in the Championship victory. The stud is uncommitted and looking like an elite steal.

Maybe the most important part of building out an LB is providing them with the instincts for the position. Giving them the ability to read and react so quickly that it seems like they knew the play the whole time. Giving them the understanding of angles and how to attack and get to the ball. Giving them the ability to understand game situations and know what to be prepared for pre-snap. Also give them the ability to have his entire defense in position before the snap.

of Grafton best illustrates that ability in real life, and that is why he is the athlete we would mold our instincts around for our Perfect LB Recruit.

Stats: 4 Tackles, 1 Sack
It wasn’t a highly productive evening for the stud junior LB, but Tyler made plays throughout the night that his defense needed. His sack came on a play where it looked like he was spying the QB and when he saw him sitting in the pocket Tyler attacked. Heinle showed off his range on that play and several others as he easily covered ground and got to the QB with his acceleration and closing speed. The natural instincts that Tyler has developed keep getting better and better. He did a great job of covering his zone in the middle of the field and pursued with a high motor to get to the ball when it was passed to the perimeter. Big things ahead for the 2026 LB.

Rankings Movement: #27 to #7
Next up we have our LB1 in the Class of 206 who made 20 spot jump this offseason. The new LB1 and new Top 10 athlete holds an offer from Michigan State and we should see plenty others join the recruitment for Tyler. Watching him on tape from his sophomore season, it is clear that he has elite traits. Tyler has great instincts for the position, and has a fantastic burst when he reads run and attacks downhill. He flies through the line and closes quickly on the ball. Heinle also has the important ability to play between the tackles while keeping himself clean from blockers. It is impressive watching him move in traffic. Tyler also brings sideline to sideline range, easily running down RBs trying to get outside. And, of course, the junior LB is as reliable as it comes when looking at tackling. The sophomore was a key piece to a team that made it to state in 2023. Look for him to help give Grafton a great chance of getting back to Madison.

. The 6’2″ 195 lbs athlete dominated the testing that highlighted his quickness and lower body explosiveness. He ran 7.29 in the L Drill, broad jumped 9’7″ and hit 4.5 in the shuttle. That agility showed up on the field and in drills too. Tyler makes it look effortless to cover ground laterally as he moves through traffic or goes to cut off an LB. He has the balance and body control to be able to change direction in coverage while staying within range to breakup passes in man coverage. Tyler is one of our top LBs in the Class of 2026 and played like it at the combine.
