Stats: 265 Carries, 1,931 Rushing Yards, 26 TDs

The State Champ will be back in 2026 and looking to beat the great season he put together in 2025. Grafton had an extremely explosive offense that was able to stay balanced because of what he provided on the ground. I highly recommend turning on the tape and watching Jack run the rock. He has outstanding balance through contact, bouncing off hits until he hits the open field and then easily outrunning the field. His balance and patience through traffic set up big things once he breaks through the front seven. The electric RB is on the rise without a doubt.

Stats: 30 Carries, 167 Yards, 2 TDs, 1 Reception, 10 Yards

The junior RB is rapidly rising in my eyes. Jack put together a great season to help Grafton get to and win their State Championship game. Just like every other week, Jack handled a huge workload. He thrives with his quickness and agility. His vision helps him find those small seams and those agility traits allow him to change direction or make defenders miss. The junior also has that shot out of a cannon type of acceleration to attack those seams. Very exciting to watch him again this coming summer and fall. He will be a name to have on your boards and at your camps.

Stats: 36 Carries, 139 Yards, 2 TDs

In possibly the Game of the Night, junior RB Jack Nelson Jack Nelson 6'1" | 190 lbs | DB/RB Grafton | 2027 State WI put together a great outing. Catholic Memorial has a fast defense, yet the first thing that stands out on the tape is how fast Jack looks through traffic. He hits the hole at nearly top speed and was able to cut and juke while staying at or near that top speed. His ability to get to the second level before LBs or DBs could close on him kept the Grafton offense moving up and down the field as they worked to come from behind and win this game. Also very impressive was how strong the 175 lbs junior finished his runs. It is great to have Grafton back in Madison, and they have a ton of talent to watch during their game including this RB.

Stats: 10 Carries, 227 Yards, 3 TDs

Jack has put together an electric junior season thus far. The 2027 has been playing a ton of RB for Grafton and Level 2 was one of his best efforts. He only needed 10 carries to completely take over this game with his gamebreaking speed. It is impressive watching how patient he is working through the trenches and then instantly can get to top speed when he feels that he has cleared level two of defenders. The speed is the main attraction, but the junior showed that he can make guys miss and also keep his feet through some pretty solid contact. Jack is a playmaker and making a name for himself this year and this past week alone.

2024 Stats: 2 Punt Return TDs, 1 Kick Return TD

The Grafton sophomore was able to find a role as a DB, but the ’27 made his biggest mark with his return skills. Jack piled up 3 total return TDs while averaging just shy of 20 yds/ret on kickoffs and just under 27 yds per punt return. Even if he didn’t score, Jack was able to set up the offense so well with his big play ability. His ability to figure out ways to get through traffic and back into open grass is impressive. His vision, quick feet, and sudden lateral agility get him out of trouble. Jack has a great feel for the return game.
