. Typically what we’ve found, if you’re the absolute best kicker in your class, and there’s a good chance that Ackerman is, you can range anywhere in the 30’s. Because it’s so hard to compare a kicker as a prospect to the third or fourth best quarterback or any other position. But for Ackerman, he makes the jump up to 31 in the recent ranking and there is definitely a lot of talent there. Evaluating kickers also becomes tough because there just aren’t enough of them across the state that realistically have a shot to play D1 college football. It’s still early, but Ackerman could have a shot.
