What sets Velez apart from other running backs is his explosiveness; his great acceleration allows him to burst through the hole in a hurry. He runs with power and gets his pads down effectively when carrying the ball. Despite a limited junior season, Velez was highly productive and is poised for a monster senior season in 2024.
