Tyler made the drive up from Illinois well worth it with his performance at the Whitewater Mega Camp. The 6′ 197 lbs athlete looked the part of a rising LB. He has built a strong frame that is clearly loaded up with explosive athleticism. His combine verified that as he ran a 4.69 40, 7.37 L-Drill, 4.56 shuttle, and broad jumped 9′. All great numbers that carried over to the field. Tyler has a well built, muscular frame that made it so all his movements were also loaded up with power. He was violent shedding blocks and driving his hips through his opponent in drills. In the open field he was just as comfortable keeping up with athletes in space and closing on the catch point. I really like the versatility and explosive athleticism that Tyler brings to the LB position. He definitely fits that mold of a hybrid S/LB.

Tyler caught my eyes multiple times while following the LBs from drill to drill. He started the day showing 4.85 40 speed that allows him to have sideline to sideline range. In the position drills I was impressed with how well he could slide laterally with speed. Also, it was great to see him be able to change direction while sliding laterally or while running. That athleticism and fluid change of direction was huge for him in 1 on 1s where he won 10/12 reps. Tyler is a 2026 to keep an eye on.

Drake burst onto the scene during his sophomore campaign, as the Geneva stand out tallied 92 tackles, 31 tackles for loss, 4 sacks, and 5 forced fumbles while splitting time at both the sophomore and varsity level. The 6’1, 200 lbs linebacker and special teams stand out always brings one thing to gameday – the ability to tackle. Drake plays with his feet under control and a strong base that allows him to make some impressive solo tackles in the open field. He also possesses plus speed and physicality, allowing him to stop ball carriers in their tracks and get them down in a hurry. As he continues to develop his craft, Drake’s stock is on the rise heading into his junior season.

Geneva has a superstar in their 2025 class, and the grades both above and below him will benefit from the recruiting attention that has turned towards the Vikings direction. One of the 2026s that will receive some added eyes and opportunities on the recruiting trail when college recruit Geneva is 6′, 190 lber. Tyler Drake Tyler Drake 6'0" | 190 lbs | LB Geneva | 2026 State IL , who plays both LB and RB and totaled 37 tackles, 11 TFLs, 5 sacks, 3 PBUs, and a two rushing TDs last fall. Playing with the sophomore team in 2022, Drake showed he was a physical tackler who displays good pursuit range and is a comfortable and efficient tackler in space and 1-on-1 situations. Also does a good job of holding his ground when taking on blocks and closes quickly when he diagnoses the play and triggers on the football. The size will help Drake get on the field earlier than most, and hopefully the skillset helps him stay there. It’s a great time to be a Geneva Viking!
