He does a great job using his length and a single arm, long arm move to hold his gap and control opposing offensive tackles in the run game. He does a great job reading OTs sets to attack with an appropriate pass rush. Petruna has strong hands and a stout lower half at the POA often being the aggressor on pullers coming his way. He shows some good hand fighting moves to get to a favorite inside dip and rip – really getting low and eliminating surface area to slip into the backfield for TFLs. Petruna is also a standout in the classroom with a 4.2 GPA.
