Medellin may not possess the ideal size that many evaluators look for along the offensive line but his film shows a player who consistently finds ways to be effective through technique, effort and football IQ. He does an excellent job combo blocking, working seamlessly with teammates before climbing to the second level and picking up linebackers. In 1v1 situations, Medellin shows the ability to anchor and compete, rarely surrendering significant ground against defenders. He plays with balance and understands how to position himself to remain in control throughout a rep. Continued physical development will be important as he progresses but the foundation is already in place. His technical ability and willingness to do the small things correctly make him an under the radar prospect capable of outperforming expectations and drawing increased attention.
