was a player that we were excited to see back on the field this season. The Mustang standout had his junior season cut short with a hand injury halfway through the year. He was looking forward to coming back this fall and he’s definitely made up for lost time. Williamson and the Broncos had a very exciting start to the season with multiple games that went down to the wire and specifically games where Williamson had to deliver in clutch situations. He’s a dual-threat quarterback that is continue to really improve as a passer and he can be a very physical runner when he decides to tuck the ball.

will return to the lineup and there is no doubt that he’s going to be hungry to get back on the field after having his junior season cut short with a broken hand. Before he went down with an injury, he was having a strong game running the ball against Union on the road. And in the first half of the season, Williamson performed at a very high level. With Williamson back in the lineup and healthy, the Broncos get a player that is completely dynamic within the offense. He has a strong arm but can clearly tuck the ball and run and he’s a tough player to contain. Williamson will be one of the top senior athletes in 6A-1 football this fall.

travels down from Oklahoma to showcases his talents. Williamson is a big body quarterback with good arm talent and strength. The dual threat displays the ability to lead his receivers with anticipation, putting the in YAC opportunities. Able to hit all levels of the field with good ball placement, putting good velocity on the ball to fit it into tight windows. Able to escape the pocket while keeping his eyes downfield and delivering with accuracy. Williamson is a prospect to watch at the Combine.

was well on his way to becoming one of the breakout stars in 6A-1 until an injury in early October put him out for the rest of the 2023 season. Williamson got hurt in the first half of the Union game and that put an end to what was an impressive first season as QB1 of the Broncos. When we evaluated Williamson during the season, we saw a really good athlete that was playing quarterback and still have him listed at quarterback. He’s certainly a dual-threat signal caller that has really good size and stands tall in the pocket. You put on the film from last season and from a pure passer standpoint, you can’t help but be impressed with the arm strength. He drives the ball downfield and the accuracy was impressive. And one thing we like to see from a dual-threat QB is patience in the backfield. Williamson can beat defenses with his legs but he doesn’t just tuck and run immediately. He’s a patient runner and keeps his eyes downfield and reads his blocks really well on designed runs. We’re looking to see Williamson continue to develop as a passer. It’s clear that he’s a good athlete but we want to see if he can be a good quarterback that is athletic.Access all of Prep Redzone
