As the game was ticking down, Atascocita needed to run the clock out: they knew it, Ridge Point knew it, and everyone else in the stands knew it as well. Now that that was basically a facts, the only thing left to do was execute the plan, and Blaylock did that! His patience and burst is very apparent. I will keep saying it, the more he stays in the weight room, the more dangerous of a runner he’ll be! He’s. Only. A. Sophomore. There aren’t many defenders that can bring him down in the open field. Though he could stand to get bigger, that does not stop him form running hard and lowering his shoulders to get those extra yards. He is a decisive runner, planting his foot in the ground and accelerating though the hole. Blaylock follows his blocks well and at times even sets defenders up to go one way, with the intentions to cut back. Oh, and he can catch the ball with ease and block well. The sophomore is making plays for his team!

This kid can make you miss in a phonebooth. His vision and patience is very impressive. Once he sees a hole he can accelerate with ease. Blaylock was not able to take over the ground game as he wanted to, but was still able to help his team! 6 took a kick off return from about the opposing teams’ 20 yard line, outran two defenders with his speed, and took the ball to about the opposite 15 yard line! That play summed up Blaylock’s playing style. Not the biggest, he still has room to get bigger in the weight room. I am excited to see what the sophomore has in store for us moving forward.
