Houston and the South Texas area has been a hotbed for football talent over the last decade and when UA comes to town the top prospects from Texas and the southern region show up to compete. We will spotlight several top performers who took home MVP awards at their positions and several other top recruits who are on the radars of college programs around the country.

Musquiz turned heads at UA Houston, he took on some the top defensive competition and won multiple reps, earning offensive line MVP Honors. He showed his versatility by lining up at center and guard, displaying that he could play either position at the next level.

Eddie had a MVP performance in the o-line group at the UA Houston camp, showing that he is a top prospects in the 2026 class. He has an extended reach, with a lean, stout build and he has the athleticism that enables him to move well in space. Eddie is technically sound with nifty feet and he uses excellent leverage at engagement to deliver stiff blocks. During the agility drills he showed clean footwork and superb hip bend. Eddie performed well in the 1v1s against some top notch defensive talent, winning multiple reps and showing the skill set needed to be dominant in the trenches. The 6’4 285 pound rising junior to be, was selected 2nd team all-district in 2023 at Klein Collins and he set the bar high with his standout performance at UA Houston, which will no doubt raise his profile on the recruiting trail.

Rahim is an explosive playmaker with elite speed, he runs crisp routes with ability to create separation and he can make a house call from any down or distance. He has superb short area quickness, with the ability to cut, shift gears and explode in the open field, where he excels at yards after the catch. Rahim had an MVP performance in a loaded wide receiver group at UA Houston, showing his well rounded skill set, combined with his explosive speed and agility that has made him a sought after recruit in the class of 2025. Rahim has double digit offers from programs such as, Michigan State, Houston, Texas Tech, Nebraska, UCF, LA Tech and Arkansas State just to name a few. Look for that number to increase heading into his senior season.
