McClendon is emerging as one of the premier pass rushers in Georgia. Here is a note from earlier this offseason from PRZ Scout Matt DeBary:

“A promising Atlanta-area linebacker on the rise, McClendon brings a promising 6-foot-4 215-pound frame and the ability to play the run extremely well. He can fight off blocks and chase down the running back as well as any 2028 linebacker in the area. He works hard and is hoping to make a big impact for an already extremely talented Douglas County defense. His talent and potential is easy to see and it’s why he was an easy addition to the latest rankings update. McClendon is now ranked as the No. 12 LB and the No. 117 overall prospect in the state for his class.”
