The Riordan prospect he’s one of the top lineman regardless of class across the bay area is coming off a very productive freshman season for Riordan. He is explosive out of his stance and can create immediate knock-back inside, take on double teams and drive blocks with ease and uses his leverage to get underneath blockers and hold gaps while athletic enough to have multi-gap control inside. He also shows some pass rush twitch with a club/power rush moves in his toolbox and will only continue to develop as a pass rusher over the next three years. Checking into our rankings update, he is slotted in as a top 15 prospect at the position for the 2029 class.
Soape possesses many key traits major D1 colleges look for in an interior defensive lineman. Strong compact frame at 6’0” 275 lbs. that is packed with power but also demonstrates outstanding athleticism, bend, and natural movement skills. Great initial quickness and explosiveness out of his stance, he’s able to beat blockers off the snap and gain immediate penetration to disrupt plays before they can develop. He’s relentless in pursuit and shows he can redirect quickly to the ball carrier to close space. Well-coached, he destructs blocks with violent hands and good placement to maintain separation and disengage. Picked up his initial college offer from Washington State but will quickly rise up recruiting board as he gains exposure.
