About Simon

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is fast, quick, precise, relentless, and dynamic. I’m fueled by an intense competitive nature that brings emotion and explosiveness into every part of my game. I’m almost obsessive about execution—whether it’s running a route or covering an opponent, I take it personally if I feel I got 'beat' on a play.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is fueled by a strong competitive drive. I take my failures on the field personally, using them as motivation to succeed on every snap, every play, every movement. Losing is something I hate, and I'm learning to channel that raw emotion to improve my execution. Off the field, I'm more of an introvert—I like to observe more than talk. But once I'm comfortable, I definitely open up.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

My dad and I are launching a nonprofit athletic accessories company called 'MARK.' in honor of my little cousin, who is non-verbal autistic. Our goal is to donate 100% of the proceeds to autism charities, especially the Eagles Autism Foundation. Our first products will be baby blue arm sleeves, armbands, and mouthguards—we designed and 3D-printed the prototype ourselves.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’m developing leadership by setting an example for my teammates. Outside of school, I train multiple days a week with my wide receiver coach, whether in the gym or on the field. I want to show that my progress comes from the hard work I put in, not just from natural athletic ability.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

A year ago, I was diagnosed with chronic tic disorder. Despite this challenge, I pushed myself academically and athletically, earning a spot on the honor roll and being named Offensive Player of the Year and MVP by both my middle school and club teams. Although there were times when the tics were intense, they've since lessened, and I’ve continued to succeed on the field and in the classroom.

What type of college are you looking for?

Honestly, I have not started to think that far, although my parents I am sure would want me to be close, AKA Penn State of something like that.
