At 6’1”, 200-plus pounds, Nevers displayed the kind of physical running style that wears down defenses. His contact balance was impressive, often requiring multiple defenders to bring him to the ground, and he combined that physicality with enough burst to create chunk gains when given space. Even against a tough Don Bosco front, Nevers showed flashes of why he can be a difference-maker at the running back position. His size, toughness, and ability to keep his legs churning made him one of the few players who could consistently generate positive yards for the DePaul team.
