Expert Analysis

A key part of Steelton Highspire’s defensive line, Bennett is a quality prospect who is well deserving of more looks from colleges. While he may be slightly undersized right now, Bennett shows good speed and strength on a regular basis and was productive on the field in the middle of a talented Steelton-Highspire defense. Does hold an offer from Alvernia currently.

This marked the first time I got a chance to see Steelton Highspire live and in person. I couldn’t pass up the chance to see this group perform under the lights, especially when five other star-studded games were set to kick off after the final whistle. Going into this one, I fully expected Alex and Andrew Erby to stand out early and often. This wasn’t necessarily the case, especially early, as Bishop Canevin made things difficult for both the quarterback and the offensive lineman. As the game progressed, so did the Erby twins’ impact on the game. Andrew was a constant push on both sides of the ball, especially along the interior of the offensive line. Many backs saw light in the trenches due to powerful down blocks made by Erby Jr. Alex utilized his legs well early on, eventually settling down and finding a grove through the air. It goes to show just how talented this Roller team is, beating a BC program with both Erby twins not playing at their very best.
Many Rollers upped their stock. Names like

looked to perform past their rankings Friday night. Running back Ronald Burnette also impressed when given reps.
The Ceasar and McCraw duo looked solid. From a production perspective, expect the two to have much better performances this Fall, yet still, I came away impressed with how both looked in the open field, especially against this loaded secondary. Separation was being made. Shout out to

Here’s one of the more intriguing prospects on the Roller defense. If it isn’t

breaking out, it will damn well be this kid. Let’s put the size aside for a minute, Bennett Jr. would go on my list as one of the hardest working young men I have seen this offseason. Labeled a defensive linemen, Bennett will see a broader role that should have him providing quality reps on offense this Fall. If Bennett can translate some of these offseason clips to the field this Fall, expect coaches to begin to reach out. His size won’t deter coaches from expressing interest.
