Alex Erby Alex Erby 6'4" | 210 lbs | QB Steelton-Highspire | 2024 State PA ended his high school career in style with a State Title. In his last game, he showed out with 3 touchdown passes and rushed for a touchdown as well. Erby the Navy commit has had one of the best careers in the State. He has won back-to-back state titles as a starting quaterback and got to enjoy it with his father the Head Coach and his brother Andrew.

Probably a mistake by me not to pick Alex for the District 3 Playoff top players. Alex has had a great year and career for Steelton-Highspire as he attempts to win back-to-back State Titles. Erby is on a loaded team with talent all over the place, but he is the player who gets them the ball. Erby is a Navy commit, they are getting a good player.

Erby had a fantstic showing in the opening game of his senior season, making some really nice throws including one pass in the first quarter that may have been one of the better thows I’ve seen the signal caller make in his career. Alex remained calm throughout the game and showed his leadership ability, never looking frustrated or panicked even when things weren’t going the Rollers way offensively. His decision making throughout the game was also solid, not making many, if any decisions, we deemed “turnover worthy”. He finished the game with over 300+ all purpose yards and three total touchdowns. He continues to look like an FBS quarterback.

Another ranking update comes and goes with Steelton-Highspire’s Alex Erby Alex Erby 6'4" | 210 lbs | QB Steelton-Highspire | 2024 State PA ranking as the best quarterback not named Samaj Jones Samaj Jones 6'0" | 215 lbs | QB St. Joseph's Prep | 2024 State PA . A loud statement that is, as many below Erby have flirted with the possibility of surmounting his spot at number two. I still can’t pull the trigger on “dropping” Erby out of this two spot. A class act, one of the more consistent producers who will lead his own offense into State-Title-Favorite conversations for yet another year. That’s impressive in his own right. We are now squarely focused on Erby’s commitment decision, a decision that should be made in the coming weeks. Ranking aside, wherever Erby decides to go, we at PRZ will keep a watchful eye in hopes he succeeds at the next level.
