Ryan had a really good senior season! Ryan is a good possession receiver with a good release and an ability to run a variety of routes. He seems to really be able to use his physicality to catch in traffic and catch jump balls, and he also has a knack for getting it done after the catch. There’s multiple instances of him catching an out route and turning up the field and running through tackles for extra yardage. Later in his season highlights, he shows an ability and willingness to block. He’s a strong and physical kid and I really like his style of play! I hope to see him at our Prep Redzone Showcase in December!

Last season, Ryan was a solid two-way player at South Lyon. Having transferred to Brighton, Ryan is looking to break out as a Wide Receiver. Upon watching his film and some clips on Twitter, it’s obvious that Ryan is a solid athlete and route-runner. During last season, Ryan had a few explosive plays on offense, but the bulk of his film was on defense. That said, I’m not entirely sure he can produce at a high level as a receiver. Like I said, he’s shown good stuff during offseason camps, but that’s a lot different than playing on Friday Nights. I know that Brighton is always looking for great receivers and it seems that Ryan could be a great fit. I could easily see Ryan improving his ranking, but for now, he sits at #277.

Ryan caught my eye fairly quickly, before he ever did a 1 on 1 drill. Just from position drills I noticed that he moved extremely well, and I really liked his release. It looked natural, fluid and it looked like he was one to watch. When we moved to 1 on 1 drills, he definitely proved me right. He was finding ways to win routes, his release was as advertised, and I really loved his attention to detail. I think he has a bright season coming this fall.
