Expert Analysis
Brian Jerzak | Prep Redzone Scout
What were your overall impressions of the day?
“It was great walking in; I didn’t know what to expect. This was my first Prepredzone camp. I am glad I got to take some baseline measurements. The guys pushed each other – it was great coming out here and getting to work with some of the best in the state. It was a blast.”
What were you looking to get out of the day?
“I was looking to improve on a lot of little things. It is the little things in the offseason that make a difference on Friday night. Working with the best in the state on footwork, hands, pad level, it all helps and builds toward the fall.”
Why do you think you were selected MVP by the coaches?
“My (high school) coach challenged me this year to be better with my pad level. Being a tall guy, I thought I improved my pad level today, and I thought my footwork was great. I am honored to be the O-line MVP. I am glad the coaches were able to see that.”

6’4, 250 lb. St. Thomas Academy OT and OC is a physical lineman capable of finishing opponents once he’s engaged and is athletic enough to fold, trap, and work around the LOS thanks to his balance, quickness, and footwork. Can easily win 1-on-1 blocking matchups and gets off the ball well for his size as well. With Minnesota’s and STA’s tradition of standout lineman he’s a no-brainer for a scholarship offer in the coming offseason and his eventual senior campaign.
