Seemingly all in the Class 5A Prep Bowl race, the Cadets are home to a long, rangy, exciting pass catcher out of the junior class in George Plum George Plum 6'3" | 205 lbs | WR/TE St. Thomas Academy | 2028 MN .

Measuring in around 6’2, 185 lbs. last we checked but reportedly up to 6’3, 205, according to his bio on X, and Plum flashes a strong skillset as a WR in the STA offense this fall with a good overall understanding of the route tree and can open and find success on screens, slants, posts, etc. Versus. Burnsville, Plum pulled off a smooth TD catch against the Blaze secondary, beating man coverage on a post, making a great play on the ball, plucking the rock out of the air, and displaying contact balance and strength staying upright through the contact, on his feet, and eventually upfield and into the endzone.

Versus Mayo, Plum burnt two Spartan DBs on a fade in what looked like a Cover 2 shell, and in a public highlight posted vs. CDH, Plum displayed good contact balance on a screen. Broke a couple tackles and made a nice gain for his offense. 4.1 GPA as well!

George Plum George Plum 6'3" | 205 lbs | WR/TE St. Thomas Academy | 2028 MN possesses great size and frame entering his junior year, and with an opportunity to crack toward the top of the WR depth chart entering 2026 as well. In limited appearances, Plum caught 4 passes for 59 yards. Plum possesses great ball skills, using his length to go up in the air and reel in high passes as well as catching well in traffic. His size also benefits well as a blocker, proving difficult for smaller DBs to match up with, and possessing impressive power to knock defenders to the ground. Plum should enter his junior season as a full time starter, and with that could have a breakout campaign that could see his stock skyrocket entering his senior season.

A sophomore who saw some time on varsity last season, Plum is a wideout who I could see evolving into a far bigger role on offense during his junior campaign. He’s got a solid frame, hovering between 6’2″ and 6’3″, and a decent wingspan, which he properly utilizes. He moves well, making surprisingly quick cuts for an athlete of his size. He does a great job of laying out for underthrown passes, and balls that typically shouldn’t be caught can be. He’s also got some upside as a run blocker. When he locks onto a defender, he can cause them problems, and even has some pancakes on his tape—pumped to see more of Plum going forward.
