After three defensive linemen in a row, we finally take a step back to the linebacker position where we had another good group, although it wasn’t as deep as we saw along the line of scrimmage. Washington’s

out of Norman. Like the three other prospects, Reece is listed on the offensive side of the ball but I thought he moved incredibly well when he was going through drills as a linebacker. He was right there with Alexander in terms of athletic ability and he also looked the part physically already. I personally didn’t see much of Reece on the offensive side of the ball but the defensive drills was enough for me to give him the nod. He’s a fluid mover and always keeps his head up and knows where to go at all times. He’s certainly going to be a name to know as he enters high school in the fall.

possibly chief among them. Reece is a 6-foot, 150-pound Wide Receiver who can flat out go get the rock when it’s in mid-air. After eighth-grade basketball and track, he’ll be off to the high school ranks and his ability should continue to rise to the top.

This is my 13th year of evaluating middle school prospects, and without fail, every year I find a couple of 6-foot, big-play Wide Receivers out of Oklahoma that I really like.

of Irving Middle School in Norman, is one of those kids this year. He’s a very lean 6-foot, 150-pound Wide Receiver that plays basketball and also runs track. Throwing on the tape he does a very good job of stepping on the Defensive Back’s toes (a.k.a. getting even with him) before making a move to run past him. I like him getting vertical and stretching the field north and south. Like most young Wide Receivers he needs to sharpen his route-running, but does do a nice job of sticking his foot in the ground and making a move. Possesses good body control while in the air and can adjust to errant throws. Defensively he plays Outside Linebacker right now, but given his length and ability to cover ground, a move to Safety in high school wouldn’t shock me.
