Daniels first committed to Pitt before decomitting and committing to Minnesota. Daniels has great length at 6’5 285. He carries his weight very, very well. I’ve had the pleasure of getting to Daniels in person on several occasions both in a camp and game setting. Daniels anchors well in pass pro and has a good punch that he uses to deliver a blow to defenders. He’s athletic and runs well in the run game where he can get to the second level and deliver devastating blows. He’s mild mannered off the field, but he plays with a nasty disposition which I love. Phillip wants and expects to win every rep. I think he’s a perfect fit for the offensive guard position at the college level. He’s a worker that can take coaching and apply it at a high level. As he continued to add weight and strength, I think he has a very bright future.
