Wind has been a reliable deep-threat receiver for Fossil Ridge, hauling 37 receptions for 551 yards while averaging 14.9 yards per catch. His three touchdowns don’t fully reflect his impact, as he consistently moves the chains and creates opportunities for his offense. His size and smooth route-running make him a valuable asset on the perimeter.

Wind is a DB that has a lot of speed being able to defend tight ends and speed receivers as well. He has good vision and technique being able to anticipate throws and making breaks on the football. He is able to drop down into the box and get off of blocks to make plays near the line of scrimmage. He shows the ability to support in the running game from depth as well, reading his keys and flying down to make a big hit. He has committed to Drake and they are getting a dawg, he will be a player that will make an impact in this DB room.

Next up is Owen Wind Owen Wind 6'3" | 180 lbs | DB Fossil Ridge | 2025 State CO . Measuring in at 6’3 185 pounds, which is very good size for a safety. Wind was used more in the box, and played in the slot for Fossil Ridge. Throughout the season, Wind accounted for 47 total tackles (31 solo, 16 assisted), 4 TFL, 4 sacks, 1 PD, 1 FR. Wind has very good athletic ability due to very good speed, acceleration, and good change of direction and jumping. Due to his athletic ability, the defensive coordinator will put Wind on the LOS as an extra blitzer. This moved resulted in him consistently being in the backfield getting a TFL or a sack. Wind has very good competitive toughness. He will run with a head full of steam from sideline to sideline to assist his teammates in tackling. If he’s beaten in man coverage, he uses his athletic ability to catch up and tackle. Wind is good in zone coverage; however, he excels against the run. Wrapping up the ball carrier, and stopping them in their tracks. Wind is an exciting versatile prospect, who I believe will make an even bigger impact on Fossil Ridge this upcoming season.

Wind is a safety that can come down into the box and bring pressure off of the end. He is able to read and react quickly, having a high motor flying around the field and getting to the football. He is a hard hitter and can knock the ball loose from receivers at times. He currently has an offer from Fort Lewis and is looking to jump onto the radar this season.
