Jantz measures in at 6’3 205-pounds. He has good size for a QB and thrives as a pocket passer. This previous season, he went 183/283 for 2240 yards, 64.7% completion rate, 21 TDs, with 11 INT. Jantz has good athletic ability due to very good balance, good change of direction, acceleration, and speed. Jantz has very good throw power and a smooth release. Fluid footwork when dropping back to pass. Very good pocket presence. He uses his shifty feet to maneuver the pocket and make defenders miss. Stays poised under pressure and still goes through his reads. Very good ball placement skills. Jantz is a gunslinger with good touch on his throws. I’m looking forward to seeing Jantz take that next step developing as a QB.

Though it wasn’t his best outing statistically, Jantz remains the heart of this Rock Canyon offense. He possesses the arm strength and accuracy to make every throw on the field, and his ability to lead the offense is evident. Against Fossil Ridge, things didn’t fully click, but Jantz’s skill set and poise give confidence he will bounce back quickly. Look for him to settle in, raise his completion percentage, and string together strong performances as the season progresses. As the team’s driving force under center, Jantz is a name to keep watching as he works toward a rebound game.

Jantz has the arm talent and upside that demands attention. He put his skills on display during camps this offseason, turning heads with his ability to throw from all platforms. Jantz boasts an elite arm and the velocity to make every throw on the field. His clean footwork and quick release allow him to stay in rhythm, while his mobility outside the pocket gives him the versatility to keep plays alive and deliver strikes downfield. As he continues to mature in his role, Jantz could be one of the top breakout quarterbacks in the 2028 class. Scouts will want to keep a close watch on his progress.
