His game has this smooth, effortless rhythm — like every rep is a mirror drill where he’s matching wideouts step for step. He stays tight in phase, gliding through cuts and transitions without losing balance or leverage, and it makes him look like he’s running the route for the WR at times. His footwork is sharp but calm; there’s never wasted motion or panic when a receiver hits him with a double move. You can see how much trust his coaches have in him — they leave him on an island at times and let him handle business one‑on‑one, and he rarely needs help over the top. Even when he’s tested deep, he doesn’t chase; he stays patient, finds the receiver’s hip, and times his hands. It’s the type of consistent, technician‑level coverage that earns a coach’s confidence fast.
