makes everything look easy. There’s a smoothness to the way he moves that jumps out immediately. He gets up to speed faster than most guys can even realize the play’s started, and once the ball’s in his hands, he turns into a nightmare to bring down. Crisp routes, effortless acceleration, and that extra gear that defenders can’t seem to match — he’s got all of it. Through four games, Hawkins has hauled in 13 catches for 220 yards (16.9 per) and six touchdowns. What really separates him is how efficient he is. Six touchdowns on 13 grabs isn’t luck — it’s knowing how to get open, when to break, and how to turn a small crease into six points. He’s a defender’s headache, the kind of receiver that forces defenses to shift safeties and rethink coverage calls. You can see it on film: the moment Hawkins lines up, corners give extra cushion, and that alone opens lanes for the backs. Hawkins isn’t just fast — he’s the kind of player who makes everyone around him look faster, too.

was flat-out electric in 2024, the kind of athlete who can flip a game on a single snap. He piled up 1,145 rushing yards at over 12 yards a pop with 22 rushing scores, and that was only part of the story — he also added 710 receiving yards and 11 more touchdowns, finishing with 35 trips to the end zone and over 2,000 all-purpose yards in just 11 games. The speed jumps off the screen; he accelerates so quickly that defenders look like they’re stuck in mud trying to close space, and his quick-twitch cuts leave tacklers grasping at air. Heading into 2025, nothing changes — he’s still the pace car for the Dragons’ offense. You can move a weapon like him anywhere and just force defenses into bad math, and AZCP leans on that by lining him up in the backfield, out wide, or in motion to stress every gap. Even if touches get spread around, his per-touch impact is too deadly to ignore. If they need a spark, they just put the ball in his hands and make defenses pick their poison.

Hawkins is one of the top 8 Man players in the state and was an explosive playmaker help AZ Compass go undefeated during the 2024 season. 5’11” 160 lbs. he’s elective with the ball in his hands showing great twitch, change of direction, and top end speed. Gets involved in the offense in a variety of ways stretching the field vertically, attacking the short/intermediate levels, and taking carries from the backfield and slot. A plus route runner that sets up his routes with good stems to create positional leverage then uses his sudden cuts and burst out of his breaks to create separation from defenders. Good ability to drop his hip level at the top of the route to get in and out of his breaks. Strong ball skills with a catch radius that extends outside his framework. Excels after the catch where he is elusive and can break away to create game breaking plays. Picked up his first offer from Colorado State last week.

Hawkins dominated the 8 man level flashing his versatility and explosive playmaking ability while being named the CAA D2 Player of the Year. Outstanding athleticism and fluidity in his movement. He’s quick twitch with plus short area burst allowing him to shake defenders and work to space. Instinctive with the ball in his hands he’s able to create running lanes with quick lateral cuts and has the top end speed to breakaway once in space. Can attack a defense lined up in the backfield or in the slot with natural catching ability at all three depths. Was near the top of rushing, receiving, and scoring amongst the 2027 class totaling 1,145 yards on the ground, 710 yards receiving, and 33 touchdowns.
