Spring Valley is leaning on the Wing-T this eason, and senior RB Miguel Cain Miguel Cain 5'10" | 200 lbs | RB Spring Valley | 2026 State WV has again been a key piece to their offense. His powerful, balanced running style allows him to thrive in the scheme, and he’s already amassed 750 yards and four touchdowns this season. After bouncing back from injuries late last year, Cain is healthier and making an unselfish impact as their #2 back this season. His performance in the playoffs could elevate his recruitment, making him an attractive option for D2 and D3 programs looking for a strong, versatile back.

Spring Valley is reverting to the Wing-T this season, and there’s no better running back around to run that system than 2026 RB Miguel Cain Miguel Cain 5'10" | 200 lbs | RB Spring Valley | 2026 State WV . His physical, balanced running style as a runner is a perfect match for that scheme, and Cain could put up big numbers as a senior. He got banged up at the end of last year, but is ready to go heading into the 2025 season. Cain’s recruitment should pick up as a result of this fall and is a definite take for D2 programs.

Miguel Cain Miguel Cain 5'10" | 200 lbs | RB Spring Valley | 2026 State WV saw his junior season cut short due to injury but was having a very good year for Spring Valley up until that point. Cain takes our balance trait for our perfect 2026 RB build as a powerful runner who stays on his feet through contact. He has a good physical build for that description with a thick and stocky frame who’s spent ample time in the weight room. Cain has a bowling ball-like running style to his game often bouncing off of first and second contact while keeping his momentum and balance. He runs very hard downhill and has a good burst to reach full speed through the line of scrimmage. Cain can carry the pile and fall forward consistently and is an excellent candidate for a short-yardage back.

2026 Spring Valley RB Miguel Cain Miguel Cain 5'10" | 200 lbs | RB Spring Valley | 2026 State WV was having a very good junior campaign for the Timberwolves before suffering an injury that ended his season early. His efforts didn’t go unnoticed by us and now ranks as a Top 5 running back in the 2026 class. Cain rushed for just under 800 yards and 10 touchdowns on a 7.2 YPC average in the 8 games he was able to play. He’s a tough hard-nosed runner with the speed to get loose in space who can stay on the field on every down. Cain has the ability to move pile forward and fight out tough extra yards. He’ll break first and second contact consistently and is a tough 1-on-1 matchup for defenders, especially in the open field.

Miguel Cain Miguel Cain 5'10" | 200 lbs | RB Spring Valley | 2026 State WV has provided balance to Spring Valley’s explosive passing attack and the 2026 running back is an early season RB stock riser for the Timberwolves. He has a good combination of speed and power as a thicker built running back and a versatile athlete. Cain isn’t a fancy runner and is going to get you a consistent 6-7 yards per carry and move the chains. He’s a hard runner between he tackles but has a good burst and can move the pile forward for extra yards.
Cain is a reliable and steady running back for Spring Valley who you can trust to make positive plays every time he touches the ball.

Spring Valley will have options in the backfield again this season with 2026 RB Miguel Cain Miguel Cain 5'10" | 200 lbs | RB Spring Valley | 2026 State WV being their top pure running back last season as a sophomore. We like his combination of speed and power and is a very strong young athlete. He’ll get you tough yards between the tackles but has the speed to break loose and pick up chunk plays at times. Cain is also a talented blocker who can be utilized as a fullback and will stand firm in the pocket to protect his quarterback.
His stats from last season won’t wow you but look for Cain to be a significant contributor as a junior in a variety of roles.

Spring Valley’s Miguel Cain Miguel Cain 5'10" | 200 lbs | RB Spring Valley | 2026 State WV is a fun running back prospect who showed a lot of versatility as a sophomore this season for the Timberwolves. The first thing I loved seeing on his highlight tape was his willingness to block. It looked like he enjoyed that aspect of the position and showed it on traditional pass sets and as a lead blocker on QB power. Cain had a handful of explosive runs as a sophomore but had a lot of tough runs between the tackles this season for medium gains. Although he’s a physical runner and blocker, Cain also has good fluidity in his hips and feet with a nice burst. I expected him to be a FB/RB hybrid player but Cain showed quality athleticism on film and I believe will develop into a traditional power back. At 5’10 200, he’s built well for a sophomore which benefitted him as a blocker and between the tackles runner. Cain also showed he can catch the ball out of the backfield and is well-rounded for a young running back.
