About Mason

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm quick off the line and I don’t quit. I bring pressure fast, and even if they try to double me, I know how to fight through it. I’ve got strong hands, I stay low, and I’m always looking to disrupt, whether it’s blowing up the play or getting to the ball carrier and making sure they feel it. I play with a high motor and a chip on my shoulder. Every snap, I’m coming for you.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m the kind of person who shows up hungry, whether it’s on the field, in the classroom, or just life. I don’t back down from challenges, and I don’t stop until the job’s done. I like figuring things out, pushing past limits, and proving people wrong when they underestimate me. I’m competitive, yeah, but I’m also focused, loyal, and always trying to level up.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’m involved in several academic and leadership groups, including Mu Alpha Theta, National Honor Society, Spanish Honorary, Drama Club, Quiz Bowl, & HighIQ. I was also selected by a teacher to be part of Ironton’s anti-suicide group, which focuses on supporting students and promoting mental health. I’ve received academic honors and consistently maintain strong grades alongside my extracurriculars.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Ironton’s expectations pushed me to develop leadership, mental toughness, time management, and a strong work ethic. I’ve learned how to lead by example, stay focused under pressure, and show up for my team and community.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

A big challenge for me has been juggling a full schedule—sports, advanced classes, academic clubs, and leadership roles. There were times it felt overwhelming, but I never wanted to lower my standards. It taught me how to manage my time, stay focused under pressure, and lean on discipline instead of motivation. It’s helped me grow into someone who can handle a lot and still show up with purpose.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that holds high expectations, academically, athletically, and personally. I want to be part of a program that pushes for excellence, has a strong team culture, and helps me grow into the best version of myself on and off the field.
