The first thing that pops on film is that Burroughs does a good job of throwing to where his receiver will be, rather than where he is. Burroughs is, however, blessed with some burners at the receiver position and, rightfully, he trusts them. We see him throw bombs away, giving his track-team receiver corps plenty of opportunity to extend and run under deep passes. Toughness is a part of his game too. We see Burroughs withstand hits for the sake of delivering the ball to his open read. Even so, he does not lose much on those throws. With arm strength of about 45 vertical yards, Burroughs is more of a pocket passer. I would, however, like to see him include short and intermediate throws on his film.

Burroughs came all the way down from New Jersey with his team, and came out of the gate firing. He broke a bit off a cold spell regarding QBs on Saturday. Similar to Tyus, I thought Burroughs came out firing and played with confidence. He is a stout, stronger player with easy life on the ball. Too many QBs are scared to let the ball eat in 7v7, but not Burroughs. He was driving the ball into small windows, and played with confidence that bled over into his teammates. He definitely made a solid first impression on Saturday.

Burroughs, coming all the way down from NJ, flashed early and often on day 1. He came out of the gate firing, confidently rifling the ball into tight coverage and calmly operating in a fast-paced offense. Burroughs thrived in an energetic setting, and on day 1, I actually thought he made the most impressive tight window throws out of the QBs in attendance.
