One of two Atlantic City prospects being covered today is Marquis Speed Marquis Speed 6'1" | 165 lbs | ATH Atlantic City | 2028 State NJ – who has possibly one of the better names for a football player. Speed is a corner who has long arms and a receiver that threatens with, you guessed it, speed. As such, we see him use the stutter move to slow down defender’s feet and get behind him. A tall, lean receiver, we see Speed use that size and length when at defensive back, playing his force responsibility only to cross face perimeter blockers to make plays. Moreover, Speed can jump… really really high, high pointing the ball extremely well and using his hands to do so. A smooth runner and quick, he can adjust to bad balls and, sometimes, uses his chest to catch the ball. Defensively I would like to see him him backpedal lower, although he comes to balance when tackling.
