Strickland is a tremendous athlete that has a lot of range with the ability to go up and pluck the ball out of the air. He has a lot of speed and is able to create separation with his precise route running. He earned an offer to San Diego and they will be getting a leader on and off the field. He put in work this offseason to have a bounce back year and was able to standout on the field. San Diego will be getting a versatile player that has great hands and speed to be able to be a playmaker in the receiver room.

Strickland was a consistent target for his QB all night. Making a pair of 4th down conversions, Strickland had 6 receptions for 73 yards and 2 carries for 11 yards. Luke has very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, jumping, good speed, and change of direction. He has very good release against off coverage, and especially against the press jam. When the defender is sticking to him, he’s able to make big catches using his suction hands. He made a big catch on a 4th down, extending his body. Another he converted by running through the middle of the defense. He has good separation quickness, and will sit in the open void waiting patiently for the easy completion. Strickland has very good catching, extending his lengthy arms to adjust above. It was an all around good performance for Strickland, and colleges should take a look at his tape and they’ll find a reliable wide receiver.

Strickland is a player looking to contribute to a stacked WR room and make an impact on the varsity level. He is a physical receiver that is tough to bring down, breaking the first tackle and using his speed to pick up chunk yardage. He has good vision and he uses that to setup and navigate through his blocks. He has soft hands and is able to high point the football, coming down with the 50/50 catches showing good body control. He can be used in multiple ways and is explosive when he has the ball in his hands. Will be a player to watch to see how he fits in a receiver room filled with electric players.

Strickland is a talented player with legitimate potential that places him on pace to have a breakout junior season.
