Some of these kids are under the radar and looking to benefit from some early stock rising, kicking down the door to a successful JR season.
Glaspie is a player that is looking to make the jump to varsity and being able to contribute to a solid WR room. He has the speed and explosiveness to turn a short gain into a house call. Using his vision to navigate through his blocks and turning on the jets to outrun the defenders. He is a precise route runner and is able to get in and out of his breaks quickly. This helps him set up the deeper routes as the game progresses. He has soft hands and is able to come down with the 50/50 balls and hold onto catches through the big hits.
Neto is a player that is able to contribute in the return game with his speed and vision, seeing a lane and hitting it quickly for a house call. He is a precise route runner and will make the defense pay if they don’t have someone helping over top. When you watch him, he shows soft hands and is able to come down with the 50/50 passes making it look effortless. He is constantly turning the short gains into huge chunk yardage, making the first defender miss. Is a player that is not afraid to stick his nose inside and help in the running game.
Mack is a player looking to take a big step this year and it starts with his ability to be a gamechanger. He has the speed to take the top off of a defense and whenever he gets into the open field he uses that ability to take it to the house. He is also a capable route runner being able to setup his moves and get the defense out of position. He has soft hands coming down with the difficult catches and shows great footwork with his moves, leaving defenders behind. He is a big play waiting to happen but will also go downfield and pick up a big block for his teammates.
Strickland is a player looking to contribute to a stacked WR room and make an impact on the varsity level. He is a physical receiver that is tough to bring down, breaking the first tackle and using his speed to pick up chunk yardage. He has good vision and he uses that to setup and navigate through his blocks. He has soft hands and is able to high point the football, coming down with the 50/50 catches showing good body control. He can be used in multiple ways and is explosive when he has the ball in his hands. Will be a player to watch to see how he fits in a receiver room filled with electric players.
Highlights
Donati is a receiver that shows soft hands being able to bring in the difficult catches and has a wide catch radius, hauling in the passes outside of his frame. When you watch him on the offensive side of the ball he is a precise route runner with shorter routes, being able to use his burst in the quick hitting game. I think he is a great possession receiver as he is able to get those short chunk yardage and keep the chains moving with his soft hands. Struggles at times to make the first person miss but has great vision and follows his blocks well.
Peters is a player that has some raw potential and shows some flashes of being a big play threat. He has soft hands and can come down with some good possession catches to help keep the chains moving. He has the speed to be dangerous in the open field, being able to outrun the defense when he makes it past the second level. He has the ability to create space at times with his route running, getting on the DB by attacking his alignment and then making a quick break. Will be a player to watch to see if he is able to become that big play threat for his team.
