has always caught our attention whether in a film, camp, or padded setting. Most recently, besides watching the junior tape, PRZMN saw Fierro at the 2025 Bemidji State War on the Shore Big School Team Camp, as well as Simley’s Week 1 loss to Minneapolis North. Especially at the Big School Team Camp, Fierro was mauling, and the reported 6’3, 275 lber. moving mass against 5A and 6A competition with noted ease. Minnesota’s 2027 OL class is going to be a fluid one this offseason, but Fierro has all of the tools to play scholarship football at the next level and is right on the cusp of blowing up .
The LT can reach and set the edge against quality 4A DEs, as well as toss around DEs and OLBs with reckless abandon once he gets a firm grip on the chest plate and can extend and lock out his arms. Fierro is impressive and fluid in space as a lead blocker, experienced and proficient in pass pro, and owns tons of pop at the contact point. Fierro sent even XL defenders flying when he got a good shot on them, and he also laid some serious wood from his DT spot, sometimes behind the LOS. Great get-off, can process and seek out the ball quickly, and can make 1v1 tackles in space. I’m really hoping to see Fierro at April 18th’s PrepRedzoneMN Spring Showcase Series to get some updated verified numbers on him so I can really get a handle on his potential ceiling, but NSICs will be come calling either way.

Luis Ferrero has held his own as a solid blindside blocker for the Spartans’ offense since emerging in the starting lineup during his sophomore season. Fierro does a good job in slide protection, keeping his balance while moving laterally and keeping his targets straight in front of him without getting beat to the outside. Fierro maintains a low base, shows solid footwork, and works well in motion, being utilized as a strong pull blocker in the run game. Fierro should remain as a vital cog and a leader for the Spartans as they look to rebound back into the right direction.

One of the highest-rated offensive linemen in his class, Fierro has been a consistent force in the Simley trenches. I’m a big fan of this kid’s tape. Fierro is a mauler with a great combination of strength, speed, and agility. He finishes his blocks into the dirt, and possesses a stellar reach block that seals an edge very well. He plays with a low pad level, and with his ability to block in space, Fierro provides a legitimate threat when pulling. He punishes defenders for crossing his face, and when he moves a DL down the line, they typically end up on the ground. He’s also a force on the defensive side of the ball. Fierro led the team in TFLs last fall and provides an explosive force on the defensive interior. I can’t wait for the offers to start rolling in for the Simley powerhouse.

is one of a plethora of currently-ranked Spartans to grace our various recruiting boards, making us overall excited and optimistic about Simley’s 2025 season in the 4A ranks. Fierro was a lynchpin on the 2024 Spartans season that saw them nearly knock off Hill-Murray in the Class 4A, Section 3 championship 49-42 in what was one of the best games of the entire season, and that valuable post-season experience is going to serve them well as they look to own 2025 and it’s hardware. We first discovered Fierro in late October/early November thanks to the always-important midseason tape updates, and his sophomore film was overall formidable, as Fierro can do a lot of things in both the run and pass game, is mobile and technically sound, and plays with a physical edge that made him a strong choice for the state’s OL2.
Fierro took reps as both a left tackle and right guard in 2024, and he displays a good first step, aggressive play style, and does a great job of timing out his punch, finding inside hand placement, and running his feet with noticeable effort. Both the quality and quantity of the 250 lbers. pass-pro reps also caught my eye, as Fierro can gain depth in his pass set and shows off good technique, as well as the strength to finish 1v1 blocks against pass rushers. He can reach DEs and set the edge for his RBs outside the tackle, demonstrates good hand usage, and owns a strong, balanced base that does a good job of eating, absorbing, and redistributing contact and power rushes when he drops the anchor. Would love to see Fierro & his fellow Simley Spartans at April’s PrepRedzoneMN Combine Series.

. Good size, varsity starter for the 4A Spartans, and I’m really liking both the quality and quantity of pass pro reps in his highlight tape for a sophomore. Primarily an LT or LG, Fierro looks comfortable and balanced in his pass set, showing good timing and pop in his punch, uses opponents momentum against them, and a good base and can absorb and redistribute power rushes from DEs. Fierro display good strength, good hand placement runs his feet after contact, is tough to disengage from once he gets his paws on a DL, and works to finish. The 250 lber. can match up with an opponents’ best pass rusher 1v1 as only a sophomore, and is still growing and developing, something that should frighten 4A DEs the next couple years. Great job this year, Luis!
