Starting things out in the 4A ranks with yet another talented member of Zimmerman’s 2027 class! You’re going to see WR and playmaker Lucas Lindgren Lucas Lindgren 5'10" | 150 lbs | WR/DB Zimmerman | 2027 State MN elevated to the Big Board in the coming days, along with a strong crop of rising senior peers, as he manufactured some electric gains and exciting highlights in his 2025 junior tape. Lindgren is fleet-footed, elusive, and displays good vision in the open field, and he can both exploit and create space thanks to his quickness and burst. Lindgren’s top-end speed helps him to outrun pursuit angles and finish big runs for six, and he does a good job of adjusting and cutting at top speed and can create tough angles for tacklers in the open field who can’t square him up. The Zimmerman product can cruise past defenders in the open field like their cleats were stuck in the mud and is liable to find and take advantage of the edge and the sideline of a defense, as well as burn CBs deep when working vertically as a wideout. Lindgren also tracks and plays the ball when the air, including in back-shoulder situations, and after the catch displays solid contact balance for his size that can spin through and out of weaker tackle attempts at his lower body. We’ll be getting Lindgren on the Big Board ASAP, and we hope to see him and his Zimmerman 2027 counterparts at April 18th’s PrepRedzoneMN Spring Showcase in Plymouth.
