About Lincoln
Expert Analysis
Kevin Spencer | Prep Redzone Scout
Wickiser put together a solid showing at the Battle of the Regions, bringing a sturdy 6’0”, 252-pound frame to the offensive center with the strength and physicality to hold his own. He stood out most in the run game, where his fundamentals, leverage, and drive allowed him to consistently create movement and open lanes, showing a strong understanding of positioning and technique. Wickiser plays with good balance and discipline, rarely getting out of control, which speaks to his coaching and foundation. In pass protection, he is reliable early in reps, though continued development in sustaining blocks a bit longer against quicker or more dynamic rushers would elevate his overall impact. All in all, a fundamentally sound lineman with clear strengths in the run game and a solid base to continue building on.

2030 OL Lincoln Wickiser from Covington Catholic (KY) put together a quietly strong showing in a deep offensive line group and made the most of his reps. He found ways to win during 1-on-1s by staying engaged from start to finish and competing through the whistle. What stood out was how well his hands and feet worked together, allowing him to stay controlled and in position rather than reaching or overextending in his winning reps. Wickiser played with good rhythm and effort, and it showed up across multiple reps. He’s still developing, but there’s a lot to like in the foundation he’s building as a young lineman.

Perhaps it’s a no-brainer to say, but the best teams typically have the best players at key positions — and that was the case with Region 2. The (now) back-to-back KYMSFA BOTR champs picked up a 16-0 win over an upset-minded Region 1 in the opening game before a gutsy 26-24 victory over Region 4 in the championship game.
Region 2 had no shortage of weapons at its disposal, but even the most elite of weapons still need an Offensive Line to pick up yards. From what I saw, the best Center in the tournament was

brings up front. He has the proven ability to play any of the five positions up front, but projects to play inside at Center. He’s a fundamentally sound kid that has really turned the corner over the last calendar year. Expect a solid performance.
